obviously those people don't care about their cars... i would never even think about driving through that.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt - maybe there wasn't anyway to exit the freeway at that point? What are you going to do, drive against traffic to get off, or just stop and sit?

The road should have been closed when it started.

 

Seriously...how many times does the weather channel, the news, car dealerships, people with half a brain, parents, drivers instructors, drivers ed teachers, and common sense have to tell you to...NOT DRIVE THROUGH THE ****ING WATER!!!

In that situation I would just sit and wait. I would NOT drive through that. Others will have to stop and wait too.

O would say, oh well, not my car...but other peoples stupidity cause my insurance to go up.

Well, when given the choice of driving, or sitting (like a sitting duck) and possibly getting rammed by an 18 wheeler, I'm sorry but I'm going on. No car is worth my life.

The grass is a good option, but then you're driving through water to get there.

 

Most people would get out of their vehicle, lock it, and get to higher ground.

 

But did ya notice? I didnt see one lil mini cooper go through it..
things that make ya go hmm.. :D

 

That's because they already submerged a half mile back.

 

There did appear to be plenty of dry grass areas to drive up on.

 

If insurance would pay me for a new car(MINI) for that I'd drive through that

 

I think the water would be ove the bonnet of a MINI, for sure. My CAI would be suckin water like no tomorrow!

 

As fast as they drive on Detroit freeways I'm surprised they just didn't skip across the water like a flat rock

 

Guess you don't have to be smart to drive a car.

 

Just a reminder, It says in the manual not to drive through more than 12" of water!

 

Those people are stupid. They should've got off the highway. There's an exit before the water....
