Carol Thomas was elected new Columbia SC Chapter VP. Benjamin Wadhams has volunteered his services as temporary VP Asheville Chapter until the December quarterly meeting and Christmas Dinner. We have elected Carol Thomas to be our Columbia SC VP. We still need someone to step up in Asheville and Raleigh. I know its hard in these cities because there is no dealership, but we have done great in the past. So if you are a club member from Raleigh or Asheville and just want to know what we do. Contact me! Or contact any of our VP's and let them explain what they do. It will take a little of your time, but its nothing you can not handle and we will help you with any problems you encounter. Basically all you do is set up meet n eats, drives, monthly breakfast ect. We ask each VP post because someone from another chapter may want to attend you event. We recently had a breakfast in Columba with people from Charlotte NC, Charleston SC and Columbia, met up with Greenville and on to Ceasar's Head for a picinic. We have a small club but a very active one.!!! Email us.

 

I live in Asheville, but I'm really new to the whole Mini scene. What all would be involved? I am still a student at UNCA, but could try to fit this in depending on what I would have to do.

I got your email, Thanx for getting back to me. I'm just still not too sure if I'd have enough time to put on several events a month. I mean I work weekends and am a full time student. I could do things durring the week on Mon, Tues, and thursday afternoons. I'm just not sure yet.

 

Thats better than nothing. I have found out that if you just post a meet n eat at say Sonic Burger people with Mini's will show up, and it just keeps getting bigger. We know people have to work and go to school and we don't want to take anyting away from that. Probably be 1-2 hours week just looking at post and response.? Think about it and like I said before we will come up and help out. If you email our VP's in Columbia, Charlotte or Greenville and they will tell you more about your role as a vp. Well... That doesn't seem too bad. Is there anything I really need to do at meet 'n eats? I could do that, and even do some drives along the parkway or something.

 

Thats all there is to it. Join the club 1st step. Post a meet n eat and it doesn't have to be on weekends. As I said we did ours this past tuesday night all the way up in Concord and had 12 Mini's and 19 people show up. You may not have anyone the 1st couple of post but word will get out and they will come. I also try to make as many of the chapter events as I can. Think about it and feel free to contact any of our VP's about their duties and how much time you spend. Being a small chapter very little time but the larger chapters do a little more work.
