How easy to strip S look?

I'm planning on ordering a MCS Laser Blue/Black in the coming week; however, I need some information regarding how easy it would be to strip a couple of the MCS styling.

1. The chrome gas cap, has anybody done this or know how much it would cost to get this done? I would like to get the normal gas caps, there not being a Laser Blue option for the MC probably makes this more difficult.

2. The rear spoiler. I don't like spoilers on the MINI, has anybody been able to not get it installed at all in the factory or have the dealer remove and plug the holes for free? Also, will there be any negative effects from getting rid of the spoiler, noticeably less downforce?

I currently have a CVT 2005 MC and have been looking forward to getting an MCS manual for a long time; however all the gripes(no spare, run-flats, lower mileage) and greater cost to the S is starting to get to me. If these two factors are really hard to deal with then I may just go for a MC w/ lots of options over the MCS bare bones. I remember in 2005 the deal was great for the MCS, for only 3000 more and you'd get better suspension, supercharger, fog light, sport seats, and ASC, the loss of the ASC and suspension advantage is making the MCS upgrade less of a deal.

Any info is greatly appreciated.
