MPG... HOW MANY MILES YOU CAN RIDE W/FULL TANK?...
HI THERE...
WHEN I GOT MY NEW 06 MCS, I READ IT WAS SUPPOSED TO MAKE 25/32 MPG... CITY/HW...
I'M GETTING ABOUT 20MPG... 280 MILES (FULL TANK) DIVIDED IN 13.5 (TANK CAPACITY) = 20.7MPG
I'M USING PREMIUM GAS (91,93) MOBIL, CHEVRON AND BP MOST OF THE TIME...
HOW MANY MILES ARE YOU DOING WITH A FULL TANK OF GASOLINE?
WHAT KIND OF GAS ARE YOU USING?...
ANY ADVISE?
THANKS

My 2002 MCS has gotten as low as 17 MPG when averaging less than 20 MPH in stop and go traffic on city streets and as high at 35 MPG when driving in the 60-70 MPH range on highways.
What is your average speed when getting 20 MPG?

you areputting premium gas?? if not. YOU NEED TO!!!!! your car will love you.. and i usually get from 25-35 mpg.. depending on highway or not. and more importantly.. if i drive it hard or just relaxed stroll... haha.. yeah. when i drove to L.A. from here(sacramento) i got 40 mpg or damn near.
My 2005 MCS gets right around 320 miles between fills in SoCal commuting hell.
On trips I see 360-390 - I have seen 400 on only three occasions in the last 58K miles.
When my car was totally stock I got 23mpg.
Adding a 15% pulley pushed that to 23.5mpg
Swapping the Supa-Heavies / Runfarts for lighter wheels and non-RF's saw an improvement and my last modification a drop-in K&N filter seems to have improved it even more.
I calculate my useage manually - the wheel/tire combo is a little smaller than stock and I calculate miles using a GPS.
My current MPG is 26.5 over the last 5000 miles or so, but this does include a number of roadtrips.
My average since the first full tank has been 24.2MPG

I have the stock 17" S-Lites. In stop-and-go driving, I get 22 mpg; in mixed driving, 25-26 mpg (my typical average per tank), and 32 mpg highway driving.
Incidentally, consider not using all caps in your posts, as it's considered to be shouting. Thanks!

Enjoy the great mileage. I just sold my STI and it averaged 200-210 miles on a 14 gallon tank.
That's why I'm getting a Mini, mileage and autocross fun are more important than high hp and 3 sets of tires a year to autocross on. I would have killed for 20mpg around town.

Greatest distance I ever got on my 2004 MCS was about 415 miles (interstate routes 66 and 81 from Fairfax, Virginia to Syracuse, NY) and I could have gone about another 15-25 miles.
WOW! Do the R56s still have a 13.5 gallon tank? If so, that's a HUGE improvement in gas mileage over the R53. I'm LUCKY to get 300 miles from a tank of gas, and that's doing long freeway trips (like ALL freeway) with the cruise control on.

gas
The MCS tank is about 13.9 gallons (empty)... 0.7 of those are reserve... You are supposed to get about 30 miles with the reserve...
Usually I do my calculation with 13.5 gallons...
The best I've gotten has been 390 miles with a full tank... 80 mph average...
390/13.5 = 28.88 mpg highway...
310/13.5 = 22.96 mpg city
I haven't done any long trip yet, so I guess I can get better mpg on highway.
currently,15k...
280/13.5 = 20.74 mpg-city
300/13.5 = 22.22 mpg-combined

I consistently get mileage in the low-to-mind twenties, 290 to 310 miles to a tank. Emily is an '02 MCS with a 6-speed, stock, mixed driving. I run Sunoco Ultra (94 octane).
I would love to take a day (or 2), and waste (?) a couple of tanksful of gas to see what kind of mileage I'd get.
First I'd have to take the time off from work, maybe get a girlfriend.....
Does NAM offer any kind of dating service?

I consistantly get 31-33 mpg w/ almost exclusively HW driving... (car is an '06 MCS, w/ manual, stock) and I can push 35mpg if I have enough cajones to go under 60 with big-rigs barreling by...
some minor Stop-n-go will drop that down to 30 or so (for me).
The nava-computer routinely shows 400-420 mi til empty on tank-ups.
BTW, I run Sunoco 91... the 93 or 94 doesn't buy me anything (unless I crank the boost up by swapping out pullies, but that should drop mpg...

On the way home from the dealer I got 39mpg-mixed highway, interstate. In town I am usually in the 24-25 range, I have dipped it lower but I drove it hard that tank-I just got past the break in period. I use Shell V-power which is 93 here in NC. I now get just over 40 on interstate runs. You will see a mileage increase as you put miles on your car and if you are breaking it in correctly.

TANK
13.5 Gal. is just a number I use to make the calculations. The tank is 13.2 gal according to Mini, but it has about 0.7 gal. of reserve... So the tank is really like 13.9 gal (completely full)... Eventhough, the car's computer says that I'm getting an average of 21.7 mpg...
Those are just numbers, but I think we should get over 300 miles with a full tank of premium gas in city... about 400 miles in highway...
Usually I put about 13.5 gal. with about 15mpg remaining acccording the computer at the red line...
