93 octane in the 115 degree desert! I'll take my 91 octane in the cool, high mountains any day. Just kidding. Stay cool.

It's true I just filled up with 93. Luckely that gas station is not too far from my house.

Best way to avoid pinging in the peak of summer is dont boost hard coming from a light or stand still... but in general... 93 will help! It's about time the west get some good gas... besides 100 anyway

100 octane? Isn't that racing grade?

Pings? No pings for me on 91. Cross my fingers I guess.

Serves you right for chasing fame and fortune... I mean Stoopid. If it makes you feel better, it's been 102 here.
I'll have to remember that, if I ever get a new wheel and 4 tires.

Thats so good to hear!!! I will now be filling up at the pavillions for my fill ups :-). I hope that it's actually 93, and not just mismarked. Pretty sure thats a big no no for them though, so I'm guessing it actually is 93!

I have a Union 76 station about 2 miles north of me that carries 100 octane. So I fill half the tank with 100 and the other with 91. Therefore I'm running 95.5 octane at most times. So evertime I get to half tank I fill with 100 and then 91 the next time and so on.

Yeah there is a 100 octane station near me as well. That whole mixing with 100 thing gets kinda expensive though...

True but considering how you can easily go to a restaurant and come out of it with spendings of about $40-$50 then I would say it's well worth it. It seems expensive for fuel but when you think of it how many exccesive free spending do you do during the month that you could cut down on or do without. When all is said and done that extra $15-$20 per tank once per week isn't that bad at all and well worth it for your engine's long life span.

Great new for those of us in PHX. Thanks.

I wonder will the 2nd Gen MCS benefit from it more or less than a 1st Gen MCS ?

I notice a huge difference with 101 octane, I did not notice much difference with the 93, could be because its over 110 degrees here

sounds to me like yer not getting enough cooling for the pulley... it's good you have the different NGKs... I run a heat range of 8 so maybe 7 would be good for you... also maybe a better intercooler....

most important is to know our cars are made to run on 98 ron.. or 96 octane... now they can run fine on 91 but will pull alot of timing and there for loose power... if you mix 50 50 with 100 you will find that after you go back to plain 91 the car is slow and even at idle is ruff....

Looks like this station is now a Valero and didn't see any 93... just south of the 202 on 32nd St?
