What happened to the "stripped oil pan drain threads",thread?
Who removed the "stripped oil pan drain threads", thread and why? I was hoping to learn more about this problem and how wide spread it may be.

Car went in for LOF today, with 54K miles. Dealer just called, and said the threads came out with the plug and they will have to order new pan ... but not to worry because it is "being fixed under warranty." Not to complain, but car is past warranty and this dealer is the only one who has EVER changed the oil. So what gives? Is there a field campaign of sorts on this?
