How fiddly is the Nitrous/Venom system?

I'm thinking about the the Venom NOS system as a ultimate below ambient intercooler/power adder. I had a NOS system on a bike, it was fiddly and was always low on pressure with a 2lb bottle on 900cc bike. A 1600cc car with a bigger heated bottle should be more consistent. Do you have to open the bottle every time you are going to use it? Anyone happy with the Venom? I missed out on a few good deals here .

I'm sorry if I missed something but did you just ask if you had to open the bottle to use the nitrous?

I've only raced with nitrous on one of my vehicles and don't claim to know it all but I don't see how you could get nitrous out of the bottle if you don't open the valve...

Or were you asking if there was a solenoid that opened the bottle automatically when you engage the system?

I'm just confused.

I believe what he is asking is that can he open the bottle and leave it open without causing damage to any of the components, or does he have to shut off the tank everytime he gets out of the car (hence while not in use).

Yes ,there was a solenoid system/ electric bottle valve available, also I had problems with small leakages/bled down so I had to close the bottle all the time on the bike. I thought there might be a better setup since then.

You can get an electric bottle-opener, but the legality of having such a device in a street car is questionable
