Emil Tune and Dyno Run in Burbank CA

Hello all!

This last weekend I had my 2005 MCS/JCW tuned by Emil at Performance Dyno Tune in Burbank California. WOW! Not only did I get my prime objective resolved...the flat spots between 3k and 4k rpm eliminated, but the powerband is much smoother, the air/fuel ratio is optimized and the horsepower has increased significantly. The car pulls so much better through every gear.
Based on the dyno runs, the baseline before the tune showed horsepower at 193.5 and torque at 150. This was done earlier in the day when the outside temp was in the 70's. The last run was in the afternoon when the outside temp was near 90. I say this because the final run showed a horsepower level of 196.5 and torque below 150. Randy from M7 was there and stated that due to the outside temp for the last run that he suspects the actual horsepower rating to be at or above 200 which, considering the low level of mods I have done, is excellent. *See mods in sig.
Emil is very knowledgable and easy to work with. His product is outstanding and he can fine tune your car to your needs. PM me if you need info on contacting him.

Cheers, Doug.

Doug, glad everything worked out. I too had my ECU tuned by Emil and enjoy the performance from it. He has been working on my auto tranny for a while and knows his stuff.

Glad it worked out for you, Doug. I was very happy with Emil's work and he adjusted everything from top to bottom. He even fixed my idle and raised it from 776rpm to 850rpm. This made the car idle so much smoother at stop lights. My horsepower increase was huge after Emil tuned it, the car feels 500lbs lighter now.
We will have to do some canyon runs soon.
Mario

The tune took less than two hours once we got the dyno working correctly.
Emil can be phoned to make an appointment...he has a 'regular' job during the week and that is why he can accomodate us on the weekend.
You can reach him at (818)823-6585. Tell him Doug sent you.

I know, it does not make sense to me either.

I reset password 3x, still get the log in window asking for un & pw. REALLY annoying!

Anywaaay,
THANKs for the phone ###. I'll see if I can get there weekend after next.

MUCH appreciated. I was trying to get it done thru Fireballed (who did most of my awesome mods) but they have re-thunk their source for the computing savvy and are mid-solution at the moment. Horsepower waits for no man.

Wow wow wow.

Back when RMW wasn't a vendor I tried to post contact info and it was blocked. I then posted contact info for MiniCorsa and again It was blocked.

Why??? We were all told that it was because they were not vendors. OK, I understand.

Yet here you can post and find Emils contact info even though he isn't a vendor. Amazing . In other threads Paul Webster can post his companies website in his Sig while not a vendor.

I guess the rules are made to be broken depending on who the powers to be like!!

Sorry, I just had to point this out.

Emil isnt a vendor Longboard he's a tuner, there is a difference from someone who sells parts to someone who can tune a car. I thought u be really pleased to find someone who can tune Minis in CA.

As for me its nice to know that someone likes me and thanks for pointing that out, sometimes you miss things which are right under your nose.

Emil, unlike RWM, is a new member/whatever. RWM was a member years ago but got banned, thus references to him were not allowed.

A vendor is defined as someone who sells things. On NAM it is someone who pays to advertise.

I'm glad to here that Emil is now a member. Back in April when his number was first posted he wasn't but some how it was OK. I personally think NAM members should be able to post contact info for anyone. Including you Paul

I believe Emil uses the same software as John. Hopefully after time he will be able to get the same results that John gets.

And John, I have said this before. I believe you are a very good tuner. I just don't like the way you do business.

It is absolutely great to see more custom tuners/tuning options appear.

I do remember that, I was on the 101S and headed to the LA car show in January. Does that sound about right? I'm in your area a lot. I will call you later.
