Please Help

Ok I understand these topics has been covered in one way or another, however I would like an up to date opinion about a couple of things. In the end I will have to make a choice and it's just so hard not to go over my budget.

This will be my 1st Mini . My Dad has a 03 MCS. So please bare with me.
Getting a LB/B with Hi-Fi upgrade, Xexon, Wht Signals, Cold Pkge, Sunroof, MFSW, these are all must haves 4 me and more than likely Rear Fog.

That been said, my asking 4 your help comes in here:
1. Do I get the Premuim Pkge w auto ac for the extra 200? good or bad about auto ac and is it worth it?
2. Later on will be adding 17in wheels aftermarket. The big question? Sport Suspension????? Yes I think I would like to have it, but I don't like how rough my dad's is on 17's. I am going to test drive one later tonight at the dealer. THe MA says they don't have any w SS but does have one with 17's so we will test that 1.
Then there's the cost $500 which doesn't seem to be a lot but puts me over my spending amount. What I want to know is will I regret not having it later down the road. (I'm getting the extend warranty) so no susp mods for a long time.

3. Has anyone not gotten it and wish they had or vise versa?

4. The Rear Fogs: other than the toggle switch pros & cons of that.

THanks soo much for your input every1's opinion does matter to me.

Thanks Guido

I ordered the premium package cause I really like the auto ac idea. as for the ss, I did not get it, and why is that? you could opt for the jcw suspension later on as a dealer add on, check out moringfile.com for more info on that, it will however cost more than the stock ss. I decided agains 17's just due to the fact that I don't like any of the stock wheels, can always upgrade later. you might consider adding the chrome line interior as well, it looks great imho.

Excuse me? We hardly know each other.

I would also endorse the auto ac.

Save the money! Don't buy the sport suspension! It is $500 !!!!! for swaybars that are only SLIGHTLY larger than stock! Plus the car only really benefits from a larger rear unless you LOVE understeer. You don't even have to buy my bar, just buy someones! PLEASE spend that on other OEM options not easily solved in the aftermarket. (Auto AC rules btw! We have the non-auto in the test mule and I have auto AC in my personal car. Far easier to use and adjust in the auto mode.) If you look at my posts on the fog lamps I also think those are a must have as well. The extra color looks good on the back of the car.

But hey, just my two cents! Good luck and happy motoring!

Here's a vote against the auto AC. I haven't tried it on a Mini, but have had it on several other cars. I find that I have to adjust the auto system more than the manual. When I get into a hot car I tend to defeat the auto fan speed or adjust the temperature to avoid the maximum fan speed noise. I also find that it doesn't do a good job compensating for thermal load, which will probably be worse in your case with the sunroof.

In Arizona, the sunroof would be a big problem but all you need is sun roof covers that slide between the mesh and the glass and it stays comfortable. You can buy them or simply DIY.

The only change I have to make is that I don't want as cold of a temperature in the morning as later in the day. Even so, I only have to tap the temperature controller to raise it a few degrees in the morning.

Otherwise, I think the system works good, despite comments from owners of previous models who didn't like the auto ac.
