What does the Dinan intake Sound like?

I heard the Alta Intake in person the other day and have to say that it put a smile on my face. The sucking sound is tremendous and makes it sound like a jet sucking in birds. However, i have been really looking at the Dinan intake and like the factory look of it and its price.

Can anyone tell me what the Dinan or any other intakes sound like. I have tried to search for it but all i get are good reviews aboiut style and power.

Thanx

A little louder at wot but under 3k it sounds no different then stock.
Noticable but not by much over the stock intake.

I had an Alta and recently changed over to the Dinan. If you want intake noise all he time, go with the Alta. If you want a true cold air intake and can live with it being noisy only at 3500+ then go with the Dinan.

I just installed my Dinan intake about two weeks ago. Pretty quiet below 3500 rpm, after that you get a what I would describe as a buzzing sound which I like. The sound comes on relatively quickly, there is no wind-up it just seems to come on when you get the rpm's up there. Easy install and looks good if you are looking for factory look.

I agree the Dinan intake is quiet below 3,000 RPMs. Once it goes above 3,500 it screams like a Banshee.

Matter fact I ran my car on the Zandvoort race track at Mini United last Sunday and friends in the stands said it sounded like the Mini Challenge cars that raced the day prior.

When you get your mods installed drop me a PM if you would like to meet up sometime. I'm stuck on the fense on mods.. Trying to choose between the Dinan intake or the AGS.

I'm waiting to see what the new Dinan exhaust sounds like and build quality is like.
