Did you order Factory installed alarm and no production yet?

I am trying to find out how many ordered the factory alarm avail 6/1 and who have or have not gotton a production number?

MiniGolfer said something mean that there may be a slow down or delay for those who ordered factory alarm, since they are not installing them even though you can order it.

I did not order the factory alarm but I placed the order for my Mini on the same day (6/9/2007) and it has already gone into production, and will be completed this Friday (6/22/2007).

Hope this helps.

Daveag98,
I ordered the Alarm option, and my mini finished production on schedule on 6/15 (Friday). It was loaded onto the Undine ship today, and is on its way across the pond. I can say this, my mini started production on Friday, 6/8, and took 7 days to finish. Most cars are done in 5 or less days from what I have seen. So it did take an extra 2 days for whatever that is worth, but when it started production on Friday, they immeadiately said it's completion date was the Friday, so it wasn't as if it was delayed in production.

I ordered the car pretty much loaded (less the JCW stuff), so I cant' say for sure it was the Alarm that held it up. ;-)

Why do you ask the question>?

I'm going in this Friday to place my order. The configurator still doesn't give a price for the factory installed alarm; it only indicates that it's supposed to be available 6/1. Can anyone who ordered the alarm let us know what Mini is charging for it and what features it's supposed to have?

The alarm is 400 bucks, its the same ultrasonic alarm that BMW uses. If someone reaches into the car it goes off. If i understand it all correctly.

Birdman, thanks a bunch for those words of hope.

Hopefully its just a mean rumor MiniGolfer told me to break my spirit

Hmnn does this work with the confort access? Is the 07+ prewired like the R53?
And does it have a starter or FP kill?

I am waiting to find out, the comfort access should arm the alarm when the key is not near by and disarm when the fob is back. I hope...

My MA did not know either as this is a new item.
