Many of us have. Check out the Autocross, Drivers School and road Racing forums -- plenty of information there:

If you have any other questions, just ask!

I don't think you have a clue what these silly little cars will do till you "drive them in anger". Just want to see who's had some fun out there.

Doing my first this Wed at Heartland Park. It's not exactly an HPDE, more of a learn-how-to-drive-on-a-racetrack-without-killing-everyone-including-yourself event

It's called "Touring Laps" where they open the track to street vehicles only for laps at speed at the track. Novice drivers (me) are required to have an instructor on board, medium and advanced drivers can have one aboard to learn from, laps are not timed and it's not a competetive event. Should be fun..........

3 other KC MINIacs are going up with me for this first event (for us), it's held every third Wed of the month, so I'm going to try to hit each of them for the experience if nothing else.......

I even set up an in car vid camera, hope it doesn't record anything TOO embarassing............

I've done a few autocrosses, both in my former car (BMW 325i), and my MINI. In addition I've taken 2 BMWCCA Car Control Schools (not DE)

My times are terrible.

I did the summer of '05 at two 2-day Phil Wicks' Driving Schools in my Cooper CVT, and three 2-days last summer and at one 2-day this summer so far at BMWCCA HPDEs in my MCSa. I also non-sponsored participated in a track day last Friday and am hoping to get to three more 2-day HPDEs before the snow flies.
