Drive my car from Atl to LDG and back

I have a generous offer from John at LDG to tune my car for free as a PR/R&D event.

The trouble is that I am not sure when I can go... I am interested in talking with someone who is "sane" to drive the SpiderX to and from... if you are interested PM me.....

This might be the first and only time I wish I lived on the east coast.

Too funny...I read the OPs message and had the exact same thought.

Then I thought...hrm...ALT to LDG....sure. I'm just not too sure about the "...and back" part.

I'd do it but I assume you'd want someone you actually remotely knew.

So now I'am not sane? Yeah I can see that driving all over the country in the race car isn't sane and if I was before now I'am not.

Just drive, it can't be more then 10 hrs...Find somone close to LDG to spend the night and there you go! Problems solved. Or find out how much it will cost to ship it...it actually may be cheaper than paying for fuel and lodging -- Just a thought -- Johan

But that shop isnt LDG, therefore, I win. (Actually, it really dosn't matter for me, I'm running a Cooper, so no matter what shop I goto, my MINI is still going to be much slower then your S)

You.... are one of the sanest people I know..... you are actually making a living in this chaos.... well...maybe that is not the definition of sanity.....

I just looked up mapquest and it is just over 10 hrs.... not bad...

I can pull that off.....

Be sure to post in the DCMM forum when your planning on coming up, maybe we can take you on a run in our neck of the woods for you to test your new tune

I don't feel so bad now, my ride to LDG is about 6 hours.
I'd love to be there when you go Bob, but I don't think John would have time to do mine the same day.

Hey, as you know, I did it from here in Hotlanta.

Only thing, when I got there it snowed.

Seems like it was 10-11 hours.

Highly recommend you go personally or wait until you can.

IMO, you should be there while John's doing the tuning.

In my case, I wanted the torque curve starting lower and John did it.

You may have an option (or several) in the tune and it'd be best to make the decision while looking at the screen, and talking to John in real time.

I went up on a Sunday, so as not to lose as much work. Arrived there first thing Monday am.

Unfortunatley I'm lacking time as well

I understand that Emil works with the same program to accomplish similar results on the West Coast.

I don't know his contact info, but I've heard he's good.

Hey I just called Brad over there yesterday evening and he answered! I ordered an M7 part from him, he's great! I never heard of the shop! M7 referred me to him...what a great find!
