Be sure to mark on your calendar, July 21st we will be touring the International Motorsports Hall Of Fame and Visiting the Talladega Superspeedway. Admission is $12 Adults and $6 kids 12 and under for both Hall of Fame and Speedway. More information to come on start time and stopping for Lunch in next few days.

That's the weekend of the Rolex at Barbers.

 

I have kinda lost interest in the Barber's race now that no MINI participates

 

............and the same day the North American MINI Cooper Championship Race Series will be running at the little Talledega track. I didn't realize the date. I'll be there instead of Barbers. Though I think a MINI is running at Barbers. More will be running at little dega.

 

I'm waiting on a MoSA special deal for Phil Wicks it's just too much money with out it. I'm a little leary of the Phil Wicks school sounds like too many people too few instructors.

 

There is two Mini's racing this year. RSR Motorsports is running Mini's this year.

But on that note I'm going to the The North American MINI Cooper Championship at Talladega Gran Prix two watch alot of Mini's race. That Make more since to me to see a full race with just MIN's.

 

So do we need to reschedule the Hall of Fame and Speedway to the weekend before?

The IMSHOF and Talladega Superspeedway weekend has been moved up to the weekend before due to the Rolex weekend at Barbers.
So July 14th, is our plans to make a trip to Talladega.

 

It's the 14th? I can make that.

 

Looks like it going to be the 28th. Rick has already made commitments for the 14th, so I am awaiting a call from him to see if the 28th, is ok.
If So we can make it a hwy. 25 drive to and from the track, plus add a lunch on the way up there at the The Shack, off of hwy 34 next to stemely bridge.

Have we an update on the event?

 

Yes I postponed this event until more interest could be generated. I had ask Vice President of the Speedway to be our guide for the tour and a few special things at the speedway, but it seemed like the only time he and I could make it happen, there was to many other things happening at the same time. Maybe we can reshedule this for a next year outing?

 

Haven't had many events this year seems like last summer there were lots.

 

Well to be honest I started a lot of the drives last year but I had a partner in crime (shorn) who I knew would show up even if no one else did. Now he works & isn't free most weekends so I am apprehensive to plan as I never know if people will come & not many RSVP in the threads & well it would just suck to plan something & end up doing it by myself when no one shows up

I am free most of the time so if any one person will commit to a drive just name where & when & I will gladly post it & prod everybody into going with us.
