After market exhaust...

I have a new 07 Convertable Mini and love it. The only thing I would like to enhance is to add a exhaust system that would give it a little better performance but mainly to give is a little bit of a throaty sound to it.
I would welcome any suggestions from anyone who has purchased or can recommend a product. Thanks John

MC or MCS? I had an '03 MC and had a Remus put on and loved it completely. It had the perfect balance of throaty aggressiveness and interior noise level and made my MINI sound awesome. Can't speak for the MCS version, but Gabe from MotoringFile also had a Remus and loved it- his old review is still on the MotoringFile website:

If you have a MCS, have you ever considered one-balling your exhaust...I haven't done it yet but contemplating it though. Has anyone done it yet and is it highly recommended or not recommended?

HUGE thread on this:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=23789

Since yours is the cabrio it's the same chassis as the 2002-6 edition, but I think there's a little "squashed" area of the exhaust to route around a chassis brace.

The only exhaust I haven't "heard" reviewed in comparison is the Alta. I like the design but is it louder or softer in comparison to the others?

Thanks for the replies and ideas.
Is fuel efficiency compromised with these aftermarket exhausts?
What about the OEM products from Mini.... How does it compare....

Fuel efficiency if anything goes up - if you can keep your boot off the gas... the only OE performance exhaust is the Dinan or JCW, I believe, and they compare well, but are pricey. Check that thread...
