My R99 rim scratched by tire installer - how to buff it out?
I finally ditched my Dunlop runflats for a set of Kumho Ecsta SPTs. What a difference in ride comfort on the drive home
Anyways, the installer left a scratch about 7" in length along the lip of one of my polished R99s.
It's not noticeable from a distance but you do see it when looking right at the rim and it is felt with a fingernail. They offered to have take it out with some American Racing wheel polishing wool. I told them to hold off since the packaged stated in bold letters "do not use on clear coated surfaces".
Is there any product that would be safe to use on my R99s? Would Scratch X work? I'm assuming that the R99s are clear coated. Am I correct? Any suggestions on how I should proceed would be greatly appreciated!
