GP Wing Measurements!!!

Hello...I'm hoping you guys can help me out here! I need some measurements from a GP wing!

What I need:

What I need is the length of the wing (top area, the "fins" not the inside part) from the side (as if you were looking at the car from the side).

I also need the length of the wing from the top part to the bottom part where it is attached to the window.

And lastly, I need the length of the wing, from driver side to passenger side from the outside of the fins (closest to the roof length). I do NOT need the length from the widest point of the fins (since they stick out further down the window).

(I couldn't find a top view of the GP. PS: I hope the owner of this MINI doesn't mind me using their MINI)

I hope that makes sense...I attached images to help with the measurements that I need.

PS. I posted this in the GP thread as well, but I thought it would get more attention here.

Talk to the guys at fireballed racing or PM tim on here. They would probably be more ***** to help than some GP owners because of the exclusivity of the car.

Do they have have a GP in their hands (I know they have the GP wing on the Widow)? I don't care who does the measurements, I just need them..but the faster the better! I'll give him a PM, thanks.

Here is the best I could come up with without knowing what you are measuring for.

The part that sits on the glass is 11.0" the winglets extend 8.5" out from the roof trimline and the width is about 36.5 from driver to passenger side winlet to winglet ( outside not including fins )

Is that what you need?

Small insight of the project

It doesn't look like I can keep it underwraps for much longer, but as more information on the project comes my way I'll be able to post up more details to the public...so be patient.

Currently I'm working with another person on the design and mechanics of the wing...what I can release is that it will be a complete custom wing that is a European mix between the GP wing and a Ford Focus WRC wing. I have someone working on a Autocad drawing (computer), that I will hopefully have next week sometime.

I have some idea's for the project, but currently there is no fabrication going on, so I don't have any pictures or anything. Hopefully I'll be able to start the project....but only time will tell. I tried mocking up a cardboard wing a few weeks ago, and I failed miserably....so completing this will be very challenging.

Wing Dimensions

The wing will be about the same size as the GP (hence why I wanted measurements) and will be on the smaller side, as I don't like big wings, and the wing will be following a European look, so it will be smooth and round...it will also be made out of Fiberglass. It will bolt up to the existing hatch-mounts, in hopes that I can get it available to the public for purchase.

More to come later....I have hopes of getting this wing out to the community, but like I said, time will tell.

Thanks for the interest,
-Cody
