I know there is a detailing forum, but I think most posts have to do with the R53 not the R56.

So any of you with piano black or knowledge about plastics know how to remove scratches from such a trim? Is there a way to polish it out? or can wax hide it?

 

Id sugggest that you try the detailing section, they would know more about the fix for your scratches.

 

"Detailing 101" has all manner of cars in it. It is about paint, scratches, orange peel, water spots, finger prints, sealers, waxes, conditioners, polishes, buffers, and other items pertaining to the car and feeding of any vehicle.

Dunt(tm) be intimidated by that lot. They are all very opinionated and extremely helpful. I know, I r one of em.

EDIT: Just dunt(tm) say anything negative about Hydro, or some of them might hunt you down and run you over,..repeatedly.

 

Your right about the Hydro, I happened to mention Klasse finishes which I like, and almost got my nose bitten off. . There are some hardcore wonders there. And I agree, they are helpful.

 

NAH I am in there regularly & I am a Klasse twins/P21S carnauba user. Many in Detailing 101 prefer Hydro & Epic but I like to mix & match what works best for me. The only place I use Hydro is on my colored interior bits

As do I. I am a carnauba man. And right now, I do like Wolfgang Polymer Sealant topped with Pinnacle Sovuran. I go around and around with the polymer sealants. That technology is constantly improving/changing.

Gotta ba careful or thios thread will get moved to "Detailers 101" and we will be hammered by the Hydro users!!! EEEEEEEEKK!

OCD'ers cannot help but jump in with both feet. I can fully appreciate that.

 

You can run a search in the 101 Detailing Forum. I think I did once and found some threads on taking care of the piano black dash. As I recall it, some of them use Hydro (suprise! ) for it. It's supposed to have nice filling qualities for the scratches. I'm sure they'll be able to help you more. Everyone is extremely helpful, a little obsessed with Hydro but you'll feel welcomed either way
