I'm driving down the freeway in my PS/B MC, and a new Toyota 4runner comes alongside. I notice the driver trying to get my attention, so I look over and he's smiling and holding up the very distinctive silver/orange MINI coffee mug. I break into a big grin, and I hold up mine and honk. He honks back. He either owns a MINI or wants to. Have to forgive the SUV type rig for such a cool little moment.

 

Thats awsome, to happen to have someone that is not in a MINI, but still has MINI products with him! Great story!

 

Everyone wants a MINI. If they don't, they will.

 

I used to carry MINI stuff in my old car while my MCS was on order.

I once saw a DS/B MINI and pulled up along side him and showed him a pure silver model I happened to have in the car that day. He pointed at it and thought it was really cool.

When driving our family truckster I sometimes forget what I'm driving and wave at passing MINI drivers. They either don't even notice me or look at me like I'm one of the envious ones.

We've gone with the hand under the chin and wiggling fingers, with the 3 Stooges "Whoop...whoop...whoop," as the official friendly wave to other mini cooper drivers. But you have to take a good look at them first, to tell weather they're going to be OK with it. You know them when you see them.
