The beginning of my Cooper story...Randy and Coop

What started off as sheer curiosity (I have been fascinated by the cooper since it's 02 release) and then turned into fantasy (yes I lost sleep dreaming about a possible future coop) has now become a reality, well almost a reality, I don't have my cooper s just yet, and that's the terribly hard part. THE LONG WAIT!!! I was considering a better gas mileage car to replace my 4x4 tacoma truck, a truck I happened to love very much, a truck that would not be easily replaced, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that the mini got such great fuel economy, becuase I can honestly say that there is no other car that I would really want. The more I read about this car, the more fascinated I became and the more I had to test drive one, and that was all it took, I HAD to have one. I spent about a month on this incredibly helpful forum trying to figure out all the ins and outs of all the various options available. I would say the info on the NAM forum has been largely responsible for my decision making process...so thanks to all who post here! Hopefully my story will have a happy ending...but first I need my car.

Ah, someone to fill Skuzzy's position now that he has his car. Have you signed up for his University of Whine degree? There are many here who were going to miss his daily (or was it hourly?) whine. We look to with hope...

THAT WILL BE PIECE OF CAKE!!!!!!

I think I could take up a teaching position with Skuzzy...The amazingrando Skuzzy school of whinging...I got my degree long ago. I'm a full time cinema repair technician and I spend a good part of my day whining about EVERYTHING, poorly designed equipment, hmmm...I didn't know you COULD break that, greasy hands, oil, dirt, weekend service calls, people, my computer, my cell phone(it only rings when my hands are a mess), this computer I'm on right now...It's SLOOOOWWW. I HATE IT...convinced yet? And did I mention I have to drive my 15 passenger gas guzzling dodge van until I get my cooper...grrrrr.

hmmm....funny things happen to my spelling at one in the morning. Maybe the spelling police will come along and fine me. It's not like it's my fault...I can't sleep OR spell when I don't have my car. Maybe I could go for a drive to take my mind off of things...DOH !!!

Not bad Ex-Pat,..need to work a little more on the crescendo of the whine, but it is a good start.

Ahh young Cooper-Wan! You too must learn the powers of the whine, if you are to defeat Dumb-Waiters!

And thanks. She is a beauty!

Dunt(tm) worry. It has taken me years to perfect it. You got the beer part down, now we just need to tweak the sarcasm a bit and you will be whining with the best of them in no time.

Called ask mini today and lo and behold to by surprise my car is in the body shop and scheduled to finish production...today! (only took like 65 days but who's complaining? oh yeah, I am) I also spoke with a real live person on the phone and he tells me that my car is headed for port, woo hoo! how cool is that! Now I just need to find what ship I will be on...It's even harder now that I know my car ACTUALLY exists and is out there somewhere.
