MINI Slot Cars
I picked up the Carrera Go set and have really been enjoying it a lot.
The cars hold up great, which allow for the wrecks to be fun. And if you're going backwards before the interchange, you can get this great e-brake turn.

Is that police car there for a reason?
Maybe from a personal experience
When they're running the local speed trap that's where they put the radar car, the chase car is around the corner just waiting

Just using toys I might have which are somewhat in scale.
^^
^^ nope they'd never stop that many
Ask the folks from FL, they were coming to either the Dragon or the Euro Autofest (in SC) a few years ago and the entire group got pulled. 8 or 10 I think
Loved the detail

Even more tempting with so many MINIs (and soon a new classic Mini) available!!
Anyway, here's some inspiration....yes, with MINIs.

I still think Aurora Thunderjets rule!
Lots of new technology is available for them, tons of new resin bodies from dozens of cottage industry vendors - it seems like they're more popular now, 40-some years later...

Looking forward to that.
I owe some folks some pics, too...but I've dismantled all my slot stuff for a move. May take awhile before things are photo-worthy again. I have all the stuff to do it...just takes time to reconfigure it all.

T-jets are amazing fun!! I only got into 1:32 with the advent of digital capability...that and I love having body styles impossible for smaller scales (historic F1 cars, D-type Jags and such). I do still have a track for T-jets though...and I faithfully rip the traction magnets out of everything else I run regardless of scale.
Well, next weekend I'll be hosting my 3rd annual Mini Cooper Invitational race. We'll race Tjets prepared to "VHORS" rules, and MINI bodies are manditory. I have limited space so I limit this to 12 racers - if I had more pit space I would easily get 2-3 times that many guys showing up.

The new 2007 body style Scalextric Cooper is hitting the streets.
BY the way Paul...... how'd the race go?

Is that really the new body style or just a new paint job?
The race went great! I'll have results and pics up on my web page later this week. Fandango Racing donated 4 MINI bodies (Tjet) and 4 sets of tires, which were given away as door prizes. All had a good time!

You know, I can't say for sure but give me a few days and I can
The side vent looks old style but the headlights look like they might be new.
I ordered it also! I checked around and most of the online hobby shops had them at the same or higher price and of course they wanted shipping on top of it.
Look forward to the pics

Well, my "new" Scalextric MINI arrived today.
By "new body style" what the dealer meant was that the Scalextric guys have made some changes. It's NOT the 2007 MINI (R56).
What it is is a "cost-reduced" version of the MINI that Scalextric has been putting out for the past few years.
-No working headlights/taillights. Headlights are just decals now and the taillights are painted on.
-No interior & No glass! The windows are painted in.
-Wipers are now "molded in" (front & rear)
-No boot release handle at all.
-No antenna
However, the deep blue metalic paint is nice, and the white viper stripes look good with the while "holey" wheels.

Just got mine too. Concur!
I was a little disappointed initially when I held it up to the other versions. It lost a lot of the detail that makes Scalextric so nice. But considering they are "almost" 50% the cost of the full versions; I guess it's not so bad. Plus the color is fantastic with the white viper stripes.
