Hello! We just bought our first mini. I asked about a group and Jim (at D&R) told me about MiniCCI. Even though we're in Kentucky, he thought we might be intested in joining and participating.

What goes on at the Rally? Is it a drive where Minis all go from point A to point B together and then ...? I'm very green about it, as you can see, but anxious to know more.

The rallys I have been on have all been different. Sometimes we eat before/part way through/or after the drive. We have met for working on someone's MINI, installing springs, sway bars, brakes, short shifters, etc.

The upcomming rally (Sept. 11) will be follow the directions to get from point A to point B, with some questions to answer along the way. Usually this is followed by a picnic or some gathering at the end.

MINICCI also has Sunday Drives were we do drive together from point A to point B. The Sunday Drives usually end with a stop at an interesting dining establishment.

Both events are a way to meet other MINI owners and have some fun along the way.

 

And samiam, don't hesitate to drive from Kentucky to take part. My wife and I are in N.W. Indiana, and are MINICCI members and have driven the 2+ hours (one way) to take part in the fun. We figure that in addition to the cool club events and friendly people we meet, it's that much more time enjoying our MINI!

So, is the general route a secret? We were wondering what general area the route will be going through.
