MINI pinhole camera photos
OK, I have an idea.
April 29th is Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day and thousands of pinhole photography enthusiasts around the globe will make pinhole photos to upload to the WPPD web site.
WPPD HERE
So why don't we all make pinhole cameras, then make MINI-related pinhole photos on April 29th and upload them here and on the WPPD site?
One of the simplest and best pinhole camera designs I've used is the matchbox 35mm pinhole camera design. Instructions on how to build the camera are HERE.
If you haven't tried pinhole phtography before, it's really cool. It's the simplest form of photography and the cameras produce photos with a unique, artitistic quality.
So who's with me?

Just to show what I'm talking about, here is a 35mm camera made from a matchbox, a piece of Pepsi can, electrical tape and two 35mm film spools (one empty, as a takeup spool).

I used that camera to make this picture of my MINI:

Bee, what is the exposure time to get that image? That is a really sweet picture. Now I want to do this myself. Thanks for the links.

If you make a camera, make the smallest pinhole you can in a piece of soda can. Use a sewing needle and carefully drill it through the alumninum until just the point penetrates the metal. DO NOT push the needle all the way through. The smaller the pinhole the sharper the photos.
Good luck! Let me know if you have more questions.
Wow - brings back memories - we did these about 25 years ago when I was in high school... back then we actually made them box sized with B&W photographic paper inside - so you got a really cool negative image when you developed it... (we had a darkroom - remember darkrooms?)

I lead a pinhole project at the St. Petersburg Times that will publish this Saturday. The web version is already online, and as part of that we created a step-by-step video showing how to build a matchbox camera. Check it out:
