Now that I finally have time off from work this month I may be able to try for it. I actually have a few ideas already and think this topic is kind of easy... Now I just gotta pull off a really good pic before I put the MINI away for the winter.

Does it include the Northern lights? Was up in WI earlier this week, had I been able to stop I'd have had an awsome photo, but still near zilch on ideas other wise.
Fixed. It should read December Photo Contest :: Red and Green now.
Well I'm in.
this was more a submission of principle than a decent photo though:impatient
Dave, this question may need its own thread but for the past few months I've been wondering if it would be possible to get the topic sometime during the voting process, I tend to lack "themes" to shoot for a week and it would give us a little closer to a full month to get the shots. I know you've mentioned before you don't like to release the topic until the day after the winner is announced as to to steal the spolight, just though this might be another way of going about it.
Or you could send me some of the topic suggestions that didn't make the cut so I know where to poin the camera

It's just a humble subission to the idea box.

I did this as well, can't wait to see the other entries. I admit mine was rather "cheezy".
Happy Holidays everyone !

No cheese was injured in the making of my picture...Darn...could have used that chunk of green cheese I found in the fridge the other day.
Still havent seen any auroras here in the SW corner of Wisc. Think I'm too close to the city lights anyway.
oh I need directions now
found a cheese hall of fame type thing over in Lake Geneva though. (My excuse for the motoring was I knew I wouldn't be driving Pearl til tues and wanted to avoid engine cheese
I was seeing them a few weeks ago I got a faint glimpse here in IL, iffy all the way up past Elkhorn and saw some vivid (Brighter than the moon and just dazziling best I'd ever seen) ones just south of Madison, but no photo
. I've seen recent posts on other forums from people in IA, but it seemed like a one night occurance
. Just PSed some into a shot from Kenosha last night. I found a few sweet spots I need to get out to during the day.

I went on standby to get get the last flight out of L.A. today to get to Denver tonight. I'll post the photo contest up tomorrow.
RE: posting the topic earlier
I'll post up a new topic earlier for January, not sure when though because first I need to come up with it.
