I don't have a true macro lens yet. :( For the medium format, the closest I can get to something is like 18" with my 45mm lens... which produces stuff like this:

Funny you should mention, I was at staples and it dawned on me to grab the materials to make a light box. So I will be experimenting with some macro stuff soon. Typically my photography is more landscape so I could use the practice. Here's one of mine that's kinda macro:

I like those GOld country, there is generally a lack of extirior macros from what I've seen, very creative. I'm a fan of the grome on the exhaust tip.

I've spent hours at a time in front of flowers taking shots, I think many times its easier to shoot things that look beautiful in the first place.
Thank you, I've got more in the
link , and even more that I haven;t posted yet.
I'd be interested in seeing more of your photos if you'd like to post them

motor on, I will upload some. Right now they are on my external hard drive. I am somewhat bummed because my camera is in for service. The AF mechanism is acting up. Not that I always use it, but if you pay big bucks for a function, you would atleast like to have the option.
Minichik, I love the detail.

Thanks climbergirl! The largest head in the top photo is only about a half an inch wide and in the other photos they're closer to an inch. They're pretty tight shots.
