Dickblick is expensive (even though they make me drool over their inventory)...sometimes local stores are much cheaper like Michael's Craft store.

I'm down with the 20x30 (I would suggest no smaller than 20x16)

This sounds very cool! I think Judy and I would like to bring some pics to display - so add two more interested parties.

Hmmm...there is a Michaels almost 1/4 mile from my house...
That was my 1st thought on places to look. I'm leaning towards Steve's idea, buy a case of 25, that way we'll have some for next year too.

Ok, So to start a list, we have:

StoopidGirl
Stormcooper
Jimz68
Judy (am0eba)
_Dave_ (am0eba)
cooldaddy

Total so far: 6

Please add to this list if you are interested.

It looks like the consensus is the 20x30 size of foam board. We will have them available when you register, or you can make them up ahead of time and bring them. The Palace Station said we can attach them to the walls of the room with double sided tape, so we will have that also.

Should we start a signup thread in the AMVIV forum? I think that's a good idea. I'll go an do that now. I'll post a link to it in here when it's done.

Would we just be bringing the prints, or does everything have to be framed as well?

I don't think we want frames, as they will add too much weight to the boards. If you want to have matte board around the photos, that would be fine.

The plan is to have everyone place their photos/art work on a piece of 20x30 in foam board in whatever arrangement they want. We will have foamboard once you get here, or you can bring your own board ready to go. We have to attach the boards to the walls of the conference room with double sided tape, so frames and glass will add too much weight.

As far as getting the photos on the board, I suppose it depends on what you would like to use. I've seen double sided tape destroy prints when they are taken off boards, and glue sticks can leave residue.

Remember to sign up on the other thread in the AMVIV forum if you haven't already (see Agro's post above)

I bought double-sided tape for the show yesterday.
Checked out the 20x30 foam board at a few locations over the weekend. It seems that the 25 pack for $60 is the best deal I can find locally. Better than Michaels or Office Depot. It's looking like that's what we're going to supply.
Please, no frames/glass, it will just make your art fall off the walls and nobody wants that.

Any more people planning on taking part in this? The signup thread has been quiet for a while now.
