So I went to the darkside

So I switched to Nikon, but I'll always love Canon.

Nikon D2x
Nikon SB-800
Nikkor 17-55/2.8 DX

I guess it will take me a couple of years to grow out of this camera.

Congrats on the new gear. The D2X is an incredible machine.

Watch for a firmware update from Nikon in the next few months - it will supposedly provide D2X users with a lot of the features found on the new D2Xs.

Thanks for the heads up! Do you know of any good Nikon forums, other than dpreview? I havn't been much into Nikon before to be honest.

There's Nikonians: http://www.nikonians.org/

And there's also the Nikon sub-forum at the Fred Miranda forums: http://www.fredmiranda.com/

Great Choice of camera! I have used it a couple of times and have a D 70 myself for everyday use. D2x is still out of my price range but is an awesome camera. I am sure that you will be pleased with Nikon and their products.

Also see Thom Hogan's web site http://www.bythom.com/ for lots of good info. I highly recommend his D2x eBook. Well-worth the money. Congrats! It's a great camera and lens!

Very hot camera. I'd love to trade in my D70 for the D2. Someday...

Thanks, I took some quick pics of a friends Celica today for a sales ad he is putting up. First time I've tried car-to-car shots.

Welcome to the light. You have just left the dark side. What a nice camera you have there. Don't tell my Nikon friends...Canon's are good too.

Great picture! You don't see photos like that in the for-sale ads on Autotrader.

It's been over a year since I got moving shots of a friend's motorcycle. That was with my (now-backup) D100 and only a 20mm lens. I need to give it another go with my new gear.
