Put the track wheels / tires on for a shakedown run

My first track day of the season is coming up next weekend, so I decided it was time to put the new (to me) wheels and tires on the Cooper and do a little test drive. Since it was nice out, I also washed the car nad took some pictures...

After 90,000 New England miles, including winters, it's hard to find shots of my car where the front doesn't show all those stone chips as giant white flakes. :D

I like that the tires (Falken Azenis) are so prominant in this shot... but the diagonal brace of the rollbar is pretty confusing.

I have no idea why there's a loading dock style door 6 feet or so up in the air.

I'm always drawn to this parking lot and the rusted out, tagged up train cars right next to it. Such things are a bit of a rarity in nothern Vermont.

Unique color. Don't see very many of those! Nice pictures too.

Oh, and to answer your question about the loading door way up on the building. It is for big 18 wheelers so they can reverse up to it and walk straight from their carrier to the loading bay.

Nice and clean, Jason! :D
Why is the left side of your lower grill rusting?

You are going to wax me on the track Jason. My RS-A 17 run-flats are sqealin' in the garage just thinking about being out there against your track beast. Ouch.

Sunday at the Verizon OK corral lot...

Did you shoot that out by the old Elan Ski building (Select Design)? Good photos. Rust on the grille? What's rust? We don't know what rust is in Vermont.

Where are you going this weekend Jason? I'm at Shannonville this Thurs for my first outing of the season.

Amit: Lime Rock on Saturday, local autocross on Sunday.

Thompson: Nope, those photos weren't from the Elan building, although I've taken a bunch of photos there. They were down on the waterfront. There a small free parking lot in the area of the new fishing pier / the old eye-sore plant with the "City of Burlington" sign up top. And yeah, those runflats are going to be a liability.
