One Photo

One new one from today. I'm experimenting with the processing on this one a bit.

The original for comparison

I think I like the original better. The blue on the building's more vivid.

Second the above opinion..the blue looks more vivid and the solar red is more faithful in the original...IMHO, it looks more brownish in the edited pic.

FWIW, I'm trying to get a little older grittier feel to the first one.

Dave, you definetly got the older delapidated look in the first one...that was my first thought when I look at the two...I would say combine them...the reason I say that is because the MINI it's self is not old...the backround especially with the guy on the bike works for the capture of what I think you might be going for...

in my opinion...

here here. I was actually thinking the same thing as Tuls. I like the first ones' coloring because I'm a fan of that style. The only thing I don't like is the car becomes dark and sort of obsolete. Unless I'm wrong it's suppose to be the focus and it kind of gets lost. Use the brighter car from the first shot or the inbetween version of it and I think it'll be great. I love the guy on the bike too.

I like the desaturated look, but are you picking up faint posterization in the sky—or is it just my laptop?

OT/sidebar: have you seen Band of Brothers?...it has an awesome desaturated/contrast mask look.

I don't think I can get any more annal than above.
If Tuls means to keep the car untouched, but play with other areas to bring attention to the subject (be it car or cyclist), then I guess so.
All I want to know is: did the MINI almost pull in front of that punk kid?

I like the color in the original photo, Dave. I really am partial to that truer blue-grey color on the structures and I like how your MINI looks in the original, too.

The first one is preferred. It captures the pith of senescence.

Scooby-I kinda like #2, but then again I use that style a lot(probably too much). I would actually take the B&W portion of it and try overlaying or maybe multiplying it over the origianal with maybe a little more color correction to give it little more grit. I wish knew how to make dust and speckles, this picture might benefit from them or even a border to make the edges look torn like an old photo.

I think it's Perdo on the bike

I'm starting to like the desaturated version more. Tuls' variation on that is quite creative, too.

I like #1 but would look better using the brighter Mini from #2. Also Scooby the B&W version is quite killer. Dang I need some better photo software. What do you guys use? Photoshop ? (= supa expensive lol)

Heck yeah, those are all awesome. Glad to see you guys liked my suggestion. I like all of em but I really like that last one SCOOBY. I agree with Tuls about the car.
I seriously need to figure out how to do this, I know it can't be that hard.
BAMAT-most of us use photoshop I think, it is fairly expensive.
LOADING-welcome to the board! Nice take on the photo.
