Great photos

Dave,
That Solar Red looks great. Not to mention the great photos of it. Hope you can get to the Dragon next year. Maybe you'll be able to see what I've done with your spoiler.
Keep up the great photo work and place them on NAM for the rest of us to enjoy.
Joel

Beautiful.

Now, we just need to see the piano black dash!

Ooops, nevermind. Here they are... https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=55425

Dave,

I love those wheels!!! I'm starting to second guess getting 17s.

What size are they? What size tire are you running?

Dave, beautiful photos, and congrats on the new car! I thought you were getting a cabrio for some reason.

I already stripped it off and put on the silver aero kit spoiler. Let me dig around though, I might have a shot from the delivery photos I took.

[QUOTE=DiD]Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury, my case for Solar Red as the best MINI color.

Beautiful shots

Can you say how it compares to CR? Is it darker? Is the metallic in the paint subtle? Or does it really stand out? I've yet to see one in person.

Can anyone explain why it's not available on the MCS? For me though that's a good thing. Otherwise I'd be losing $$$ by trading or selling my recently purchased blk/blk MCS...because given the opportunity, that's exactly what I'd be doing.

Check out DiD's article over on the Motoring File, although I haven't seen one in person, from the pictures I've seen he does a good job of telling about the color, find the article here:http://motoringfile.com/2005/11/22/s...-stripe-photos

Very Nice Dave !

You are making me even more anxious for mine to arrive:impatient

Mine probably looks like your second photo sitting at NEAT in NJ, only with 2-3 inches of snow on it

Real nice.

Very nice photography. One shot looks like Chili Red. What does glaring sunlight do to the depth, up close? And nitrous would fix the lack of supercharger!

Solar Red has a huge range to it. It can look almost orange at times, to a shade lighter than Velvet Red, to nearly Chili Red. In direct sunlight there are some rust tones in it. But even then it depends a bit on what angle you are to the sun what it looks like.
