Those are very cool creatures... they also consume many of the more destructive bugs..

 

What a frightening episode...your MINI was simply a sitting duck!!! I'm sure that terrfying creature thought your car was a big, juicy lady bug. Upon closer inspection, perhaps it was intimidated by the scale (and utter coolness) if its super-sized prey. Staring down the barrel of that twin exhaust may have been elicited some disturbing buggy remembrances, too. I have seen these monsters attacking MINI antennae before, but nothing so brazen as this.

I'll assume everyone here knows how they copulate... The female bites the head off of the male during coitus and only then can he finish the deed. Freaking scary. So, I gotta wonder, was that a male or a female? Depending, it might have "bit off more than it could have chewed."

I have issuse with bugs and had never seen one of these things in person (not common where I grew up I guess). I saw one on a wall by the office the other day and got down close to check it out - the damn thing turned its head to look at me I almost S**T! Those things are CREPPY!

 

Wow, as cool as that mantis is. The first thing that came to mind was how reflective your car is.. NICE!
