Re-Modified Black Cooper S - lots of pics
Hey guys!
Some of you may have seen my car previously as this....

I was ready to sell and buy an 04 3series Coupe (Sport) but kinda took a real hard look at my car and decided to keep it
Having taken the wheels etc off to sell i was now left with a stock S which was cleary not my thing
So into the savings account i delved!
And after some serious wedge here is the results - hope you like!
As always critiscise away and give a few good comments too
I didnt try too much with these as these were just point n shoot type shots with the aid of the trusty tripod.
There is only so much you can cater for in a carpark lol - those masts can be a pain to pshop out at night!!!
Anyways enjoy!

I really like the work you did on the phantomed engine and phantomed door pictures.
The second shot of this new series is also standing out for me.
The white balance is a little off in the indoor shots. The outdoor ones look good though.

scooby ...yet again you leave me gob smacked with the quality of the pics & of your MINI !!
I saw your MINI drive in at Stanford Hall and i nearly tripped over my bottom lip !!!!
x infinity !

DiD - as ever, completely agree with you - indoor shots were handheld point n shoot which never really "did it for me" - wrong settings too but hey ho - thought id slap them on anyways
yea Stanford Hall was good albeit a bit muddy!
talking of trippin on lips - i keep putting my feet into the side skirts getting in lol - its not crazily lowered at all - KW springs (35mm) and aero kit but it does feel a lot lower than the Eibachs and s skirts
i need to get the paint chips on the bonnet looked at next then......ok im gonna stop!
I do love driving around town now hehe - lots of lights and lots of ladies mmmmm

I saw your first image at MINI2 and I fell in love with your car. Now that you made more imporvements, I think I'm falling in love again. Great job, Scooby!

Great shots! I love what you've done with the car! The only minor quibble I would have, though, is that you've gone to the trouble to paint the side-skirts and wheel-arches, but left the Aero-grille a matte black. It almost makes the grille look flat and lifeless in the midst of all that gleam.
My opinion, which is of no importance to anyone but me, is that you should gloss it up! Make the grille match the rest of the MINI.

scooby, some comments. since dave touched on white balance, i'll ignore that.
1. that blue reflection is mesmorizing. the placement of the car is not. i'm bugged by the lip of the sidewalk.
2. cut out the street lights and this is a fantastic shot!
3. even better in b/w
4. very nice. would have liked to have the blur of someone walking in the background.
5. very nice
6. crop it panaoramic style
7. too dark...sorry but i like the ant's eye view. man your car is hot.
8. again, too dark...
9. this pic is begging for some serious DOF
10/11. nice idea. just don't make your car so bloody shiny that you see the camera
12. too dark on the car. needs more lighting on the right.
13. shoot that pick without the parking lights on. you don't need them. car is uneven in the frame. you're at that half-way point where you either need to zoom in closer or zoom out more.
14. again, another opportunity to crop it panoramic
15. no need for parking lights, otherwise nicely done.
16. blurry?
17/18. Cute. I do want to point out the perfect sky in the background. if all those buildings were out of the way, it would look hot hot hot with your car. i caught one of those backgrounds at AMVIV:

cheers guys and yep Haf agree with each point
i dont know why i keep the sidelights on - when stood there it does look good but i always get that burning look afterwards once pshoppin - note for future switch em off!
had a go at the side shot without the lights behind - let me know wot you think.
No. 16 gave me the same puzzled opinion too - it was securely fixed etc??
but yea it does look a bit blurry - but i do like the look of the composition - i know ideally i could do with throwing light on the side im shooting and that is sumthing i will be looking into for my next shoot.
