Eurofest Nashville Photos- MINI and nonMINI
Be WARNED: Amateur with a camera! "What's aperture again? Which button do I push?" Its my new hobby, so I thought I would share.

The MINI car club of Nashville had about 6 MINIs show. Our booth had an RC track for the kids, which got us a lot of attention.

Thanks for checking out my photos. Any critiques are gladly welcomed. C'mon, DiD, I know you can help me!

very nice
youre a natural:smile:
keep em commin
nice depth of field.
watch your reflections.
try to avoid clutter in the background.
you can always shoot the big shot with most of todays digis which means you shouldnt be afraid to crop... just try to maintain the aspect ratio.

I think you did pretty well considering the conditions. The middle of the day is pretty hard to work with.
Here's my rundown
1) I like the setup, but the bottom and side of the car in front got cropped off in the framing. Be careful about that, particularly cropping off the bottom part of the car.
2) Good shot. It's the reverse of what I'd normally expect to see (car in the background blurred), but it works. Again, be careful about getting the subject in the frame, the right corner of the MINI in the background is missing.
3) Why red? with the red example behind it. Good subject matter. Part of the car (left lower section) is missing again.
4) IMO, the second strongest shot of the group. I like the comparative lines. Part of the boxster got clipped off though.
5) Nice Mini. One thought, in situations like this where the background is really sticking up behind the car like this, get really low (camera near the ground) and shoot up. That would have helped hide some of those objects behind the Mini.
6) I like the photo since it helps to set the scene for the next one.
7) This is my favorite. It ties in nicely with the photo above it and conveys the sense of waiting to be next. A couple of feet are missing though.
Overall, I'd say be careful about how you're framing the photo and watch the edges to see what is or isn't in the frame. Then try getting lower and shooting up to help reduce some of the clutter in the background.
