changing pic size after taken?

OK- I tried to post some pics as attachments (since I don't know how to do it otherwise) but I got an error that the pics are too big. Rather than reshoot the photos (since I used the tripod to actually play with it and have since put it away) can I change the size? The pics are currently 2240x1488. I am using a Nikon D70 and know that I desperately need to take some classes as I am learning!

I know how to change the pictures size within the camera but really want to post these pics to my new post claiming pics (now without them!!!)

Thanks!

Chris

Newer versions of Windows XP have a built in function; right click on the pic and choose "Resize Pictures"

Otherwise check out Irfanview

You can also try the new Picassa 2 from Google. It's free from Google.

Thanks for the help guys!

I downloaded irfanview and it worked fantastically! I generally only take pictures and print them. I have never actually done any work to the photos. I have a full copy of photoshop on the way so I can learn!
