LA Autoshow question

I'm going to the LA Auto show tomorrow. 2 questions:

1) can you bring a camera/ take pics?
2) if yes to 1, what focal lengths to people tend to use?

Yes, you can take cameras, and chances are you'll want a wide angle so you can be close to the cars and still get the whole thing in the frame without having all sorts of people in the way.
