Well, the run started out pretty rough...
Like the title says - this months club run was to Jerome, AZ and it started out pretty rough.... Yarnell Hill is a fun little hill and the MINI's always have a blast ripping it up - but not that day.....
The rest of the run was a blast!! I think everyone had a good time!! and I am learning how to use my new GoPro better each time.

I think that was a police officer at the head of the line of MINIS...
Two, actually after a second look.
Hey Bigcoyote - I noticed the second time using the tow hook mount that it didn't tighten up as much to the camera. At all the way tight, I could move the camera up and down, yet while motoring it did stay in place. I'm chalking it up to the mount itself being made of aluminum and it doesn't "squeeze" like all other Go Pro mounting hardware. Thinking about using a nut and bolt instead. You finding the same thing?
Like that you guys get together fairly regularly.

"The Incident" - was what our club was referring to it as -- and yes - if you look at the head of the line of MINI's there are 2 State Trooper cars - we were on a club run and that was the first hill we came to ( Yarnell Hill ) one of our favorite sections of road!! We normally have a blast on it - but that morning there were 2 State Troopers waiting for us.....
They got the first pack -- but only wrote out tickets to 3 cars ... I was in the 2nd pack and did the drive by with my GoPro on... It's kinda hard to see with the sun in the camera but troopers are walking down the line of MINI's as I drive by....
I have noticed I need to tighten to towhook mount a lot - I use my swiss army knife to add an extra turn on the screw, but it still gets some noise from the hinge now and then. I might try and nut & bolt on the next run
Our club has several events every month - can't let the grass grow under our MINI's

lol, apparently you guys are not the only ones who knew that, your reputations preceeded you...
Glad to see it didnt put a damper on the days motoring looked to be a beautiful ride.
How about next time send out a volunteer on point with CB radio/FRS or cell phone 5 minutes ahead of the pack.
