MINI Cooper photography
Thanks!
I use a "Rig Pro" boom made by a guy named VisualEchos, here's his FB page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rig-Pro/211454075617628 It was shot with a 20mm lens on my D700 body, I could have put the camera farther out some but was really in a rush to try to get one before it got too dark (it was just shot in my driveway). Here's the shot about 1/2 way edited, basically once I was done with the raw editing in LR3 just before I exported to photoshop elements to remove the rig (and the trailer on the left), I then went back to Lightroom to do some final tweaks.

and the finished product once again:
It's just my style I guess, I tend to hit all my photos with some split toning for tint and generally always lean towards the warm side.

Great photo. I'm actually hoping to build my own rig soon, but sadly I no longer have my MINI to take pictures of..
This is too funny - I have had the black and white version of this photo favorited on Flickr for a while, and just signed in to NAM today for the first time in months and came across it again

thanks! As for the rig... the rig itself is probably the cheapest/easiest part of the kit. I had a couple of super clamps already so I saved some money there but the suction cup mounts and magic arms definitely aren't cheap, but in the end I think they're worth it.

), and that cost twice as much as the rig is looking to be. It was much easier to justify though, since it has so many more applications
Did you end up going with the Avenger F1000's? I actually came across two different types of 'Magic Arm' - do you happen to know if this one would work: Magic Arm? It's half the price, haha, so that would really help.
my first go at automotive strobe photography.
