yeah me too, its hard to do with a grey mini in the middle of winter, not much black haha

 

The color of one's MINI shouldn't matter. Think outside the box.

If you want to go semantic, we all have black tires. Most of us have black trim. Others have black mirrors. Let's not forget all the black interior items- pedals, carpeting, etc.

Figuratively, black can be a mood. Seductively sinister or somber.

Of course, if you "interpret" the theme artistically, you run the risk of not getting the votes to win the monthly challenges. But then, the contest is supposed to be about participation.

thats what i tried to do, i used the mirror as the focus of the image. first i looked at all of the definitions for the word "black" then found one i wanted to go use, and did my best with it. you're right about the trim though, i could've been worse off than i was. but that is kind of the point of this competition, to get out and take new pictures, try new things/angles, and of course like you said, participation
