I understand that there has not been that much rain in the last month, but I guess there were not too many folks who washed their MINI.

Car washing means ticket for some folks. In your driveway with city water will score big fines.

We're not there yet, but it's on the drawing board. Not sure what I'll do then. I won't use those power wash garage like bays. They use recycled water. Can you say....grit? Surely won't use our well water. We have really heavy iron staining nastiness.

Then use iPhoto to tag with quality metadata. If I didn't use this method, I'd never find anything.
I'm just going to import with iPhoto, I usually drag and drop to a folder called "Pictures" on my desktop.

What I love about photo 2 is that the photographer caught the drop after it hit the car and bounced off. I would love to know how many takes it took to get the timing correctly.

Yeah, we're there.....$100 added to your water bill if the "water police" catch you watering the lawn, washing your car or just using too much water. If that doesn't work, the next time they cut off your water.

Geez! That's severe! I didn't know there are such draconian regulations. The Prescott area could use such regs too... but I'm not going to suggest it. But then there are numerous golf courses with lakes here, so that would go over like a lead balloon.

Mini S Pilot: I installed a killer whole house water treatment system last year. Sure makes a difference, less water spotting.

DeCrema: I'm willing to bet about 80 times.

Holy Cr@p, that really sucks! Here's to hoping for a wet winter!

Nope, took 500-600 photos total and got 5 good ones with a splat in the right place. My first set of ~300 photos were taken too late in the afternoon, had to use ISO 1600, and they mostly sucked. The next day I got an earlier start and learned my mistakes from reviewing the previous day's photos. The strong SF bay winds were not helping me in aiming the drops and making it all so unpredictable, plus trying to keep myself out of the chrome and water reflections. I think this is just a typical photo shoot where patience pays off once again. Thank heavens for lightroom as it made sorting through so many photos a quick task. I've remixed significantly one of the rejected photos and I'll post it in MotorOn's critique thread later.

Off Topic for just a moment...
I have never worked in photoshop until today playing around. I have a copy of CS2- well my daughter the art student does any way but I paid for it and it is on my computer that she uses . I did not see light shop in photoshop. Is it a seprate program? If needed I can move this topic to a new thread. I am getting to the point that I want more control over my pictures.

CS2 won't do much (in fact nothing) for organizing...Adobe Bridge is the component in CS2 that you would use for that purpose.

Photoshop is the best (CS3 is the currently selling version), but the learning curve is tremendous. Unless you're willing to spend a lot of time playing, you may want to go with Photoshop Elements or somehting less complex)

If you're referring to Lightroom, yes, it's a separate program.

I will have to explore AB. Thanks

I already have CS2 for my daughter's art classes/hobby. I've just started exploring PotoShop becuase - well we have a copy. Also CS2 will do more than the Microsoft Picture It program that came with an older computer (2001) reloaded on the newer laptop. Well it should do more - for now I can do almost as much with Microsoft but that goes to the learning curve. I will likely not purchas CS3 as both my daughter and I use the program for fun and not work. Even with a studen discount a CS3 is a big upgrade.

Understand about using CS2 because you already have it...that's how I got started. Been using it for 3 years now and still feel overwhelmed sometimes. Recommend getting some good books.
