What to do in Kalamazoo
Attending Mad Dogs & Englishmen on 09JUL06. Arriving Kalamazoo on Friday 07JUL06, staying at the Clarion. Would like a nice steak dinner somewhere that has a good beer selection. Afterward, can stay or go elsewhere for Scotch and a cigar. On Holiday, after all. No jacket required, al fresco a preferred option. So where does a single motorer go on Friday night in Kalamazoo?
I was at the Olde Peninsula Brew Pub several years ago. The beer was good. Don't remember the food.
I would recommend it! I went to college in Kalamazoo (Go Broncos!) so my knowledge of the finer places is limited, but I have stopped by Olde Penninsula since then and it has some decent grub.

Looking forward to seeing you at Mad Dogs. Olde Peninsula had good food and beer last time I was there, but for extraordinary beer, try to make it to Bells! www.bellsbeer.com
One of the best microbreweries in the country, and the pub is a lot of fun. Nice patio too. There will be live entertainment out there at 9:30.
One restaurant I would like to try but haven't yet, so I can't vouch for it personally, is Francois' Macaroni Factory. www.francoiskazoo.com It's right by Olde Peninsula.

would suggest checking out Heritage Guitars, but I think they're closed this week.
