Saturday, February 7th – The MINI Car Club of Indiana announces Dyno Day! Starting at 9am at Kenny Brown’s Performance Center ( http://www.kennybrown.com ), we will be installing some simple, bolt-on parts (ie plugs, wires, air filters, intakes, etc…) and placing the car on the dyno to see what kind of horsepower improvements are achieved. This event is open to anyone (however, members of MINICCI will get a discount if they would like to put their car on the dyno) and is scheduled to last until about 1pm. Some parts for this event have been donated (and will be for sale) from MINI Mania! Other parts suppliers are also participateing.

People interested in joining us at this event are asked to RSVP to our Events Coordinator (Waylon Cooper) at miniguru7@yahoo.com so that we can plan space allotment for the event.

I'm in Kalamazoo, MI and would love to have the MCS dynbed after my mods in 2003, however two problems:
- My MINI is in winter storage and to pull it our is tempting. Weather on 2/7 is the factor.
- It appears from the MINICCI website that there is an event for 2/6-8: "MINI Vacation in Vegas".

Given the above, how locked in is the club the 2/7 date?

That Feb. 7th date is pretty firm. The MINI vacation in Vegas on our site is really just an informational piece so that our membership (and everyone else) knows that people are doing it.

We will be updating our website to reflect this in the not-to-distant future. Keep checking it. It will change.

And, why cold storage? The MINI is a BLAST to drive in the winter. The latest snowfall here in Indianapolis really made for some great times in parking lots! Besides, the little cars really handle the snow pretty well. I drove mine all last winter (we had LOTS of snow) and never had any real problems.

Anyway, thanks for the interest. I will keep information coming as I get it.

 

So...on February 7th at 9am, we are expecting, at a minimum, 20 MINI's!!!! to participate.....

 

Due to a death in the familly I will notbe able to make it. I was looking forward to it and hope I can make it to some of your other Mini Gatherings in the future.
