MINICCI announces a Tech Session!
Next weekend 20 Sept - there is a Tech session being given by the chief MINI mechanic at D&R, the clubs director of Events and all round great guy Waylen Hunsucker.
He will provide tips about taking care or our MINIs. Again see the Website for time (1: to 3:00 p.m.) and location. Hope to see you there

Expected to last for about 2 hours - 1 to 3 p.m.
Here are the directions for Brehob ( where the tech session will be held)
I-70 to West St. exit, south on West St. to W. Morris St., east on Morris St. (left turn onto Morris from West), to 101 W. Morris St.
Brehob is 2-tone brown building on the south side of the street (takes up the entire block it is on). Corner of Illinois & Morris.

We all had a great time at this tech session and all learned a lot about our cars. If anyone walked away after not learning anything new, then they weren't really listening.
We were walked through the process of changing the oil in our Mini's be a very experienced technician who showed us the do's and don'ts of the process. You wouldn't believe all the torque settings! I walked away knowing that the price of an oil change more than covers the risk associated with the process and that getting that oil filter back on without cross-threading it can be a chore.
Also, we discussed basic car maintenance and certain problamatic ares of the Mini. All told, we learned more than I could EVER post here.
