Darnitall, I am flying in on Thursday Night! Would have loved to see a bunch of MINIs and I do miss Portillos (beef n cheddar on a croissant)

Oh well, if you see a strange couple waving from in a red Mazda CX-7, it's me missing my MINI

Bringing back childhood memories.. I grew up in Morton Grove & went to Highschool in Des Plaines. I've been away from IL for years!

 

Jealous of you guys and your Portillo's. I may have to order some online to combat the grief...

 

I only have 652 miles on my new mini. So count me in

WOW great 1st night out, a MINI from CA and ND stop by along with 14 other local MINI's. A few new faces and one 07 MINI S.

Tip of the hat to Drew for setting this up and I look forward to Aug and seeing some of the many pics that folks took tonight.

Well the next one will be Aug 8th. I've still got to do a little scouting as to which Portillios; hopefully hop around different suburbs a little to give more poepl the oppurtinity to come out as well.

Skokie would be nice (they have an outdoor eating area), but the lot is VERY small and it's usually very busy. I hate parking there because I 'm afraid I'll get dinged...

here's a couple of alternate locations to consider:

• Niles - 8832 W. Dempster St.
• Elk Grove Village - 1500 Busse Hwy
• Rolling Meadows - 1900 W. Golf Rd

the lots are bigger and there's more room inside if needed.

Here is a link to the Vernon Hills location Map. Just a little ways off I-94and leaves little excuse for the North Shorearea folks to attend.

Unfortunately this month my schedule is just a little off and I wont be able to attend So I'll probably run over to the Portillios in Downers Grove (so I'm not too terribly jealous) on my lunch break(6pm-ish for those not making the drive up to Vernon Hills).

On a side note how many would beinterested in meetin up at the Starbucks across from Knauz aorund 8am Sat. and going for a juant down Sheidan,stopping off for photos and lunch type thing in the Wilmette/Skokie area?
