REME(Redwood Empire MINI Enthusiasts) Have invite little ol' us on a run to Mt. Shasta. Read below:

Just wanted to extend an invite to all the Mid Cal MINIs to join REME on the 2nd Annual Shasta Mountain Tour. This year it is scheduled for June 15-18 (Friday-Sunday) with a Shasta Dam & Shasta Caverns tour on Monday for those wishing to stay over. Route maps have been prepared and are available on the REME website. We will set up our “base of operations” at the Best Western Treehouse Inn in the town of Mount Shasta. Saturday we will drive up to Yreka and take highway 96 west along the Klamath River, then down through Scott River Valley along the Scott River. Then returning to Mt. Shasta and the BBQ dinner.

We have a sunset BBQ dinner planned for Saturday evening at Red Fir Flat on Mt. Shasta. This is at about 5000+ feet with spectacular views and great photo opportunities. You can drive up to Bunny flat at 6950 ft. after dinner.

On Sunday we will drive out to Gazelle and Callahan, then turn south on highway 3 along the Trinity Lake and Trinity Alps, through Lewiston and back by way of highway 299. For those returning to the Bay Area and Central California, they can depart down I-5 from Redding and those staying over for Monday will return to Mt. Shasta.
