Nope....I leave Tuesday morning, stop over in Death Valley, arrive Wednesday afternoon in Vegas.

What could possibly be worth a stopover in Death Valley? Other than... death.

 

Panamint Springs Resort .......Taking SR99 to SR155 out of Delano to Lake Isabella. Then SR178 through Ridgecrest to SR190 and Panamint Springs Resort for Tuesday night. Wednesday, SR190 through Pahrump on into Vegas. Some of us took this same route last year (minus the GF who stayed home sick), so I thought it would fun to do it again. Lot longer than 99 through Bakersfield and I-15. But if you've never been through DV, I think the scenic diversity is worth it.....+ we will be doing the "freeway" route home.

 

We're doing Death Valley as an AMVIV run this year. It's an all day run returning either the faster route stopping at the track in Pahrump to watch the NAMCC race or the more fun route arriving at the track probably too late to watch the race.

No, that's actually cars. It's probably closer to 600 people. Over 550 have signed up for the dinner.

I'm pretty certain that number is MINIS registered; I count more than that on the unedited attendee list, which has a few multiple entries (repeats), but also includes multiple names under individual listings! (Mr & Mrs, etc.)

I wouldn't be surprised if well over 500 people show up for this one.

Crap'ola of a weekend (WORK stuff)....but all is well now. On vac 'til next Tuesday, Car is almost packed, food 'n fuel in the morning, in Vegas by noon Wednesday....beer run for some of the "good stuff" so as to have it ready for the Thursday MidCal crowd......what more to life is there??
