One of the members here runs a resturant in clovis. He might be the guy to talk to. As far as nice areas, Oakhurst is the best IMO. Once you get into the valley it is hot and smoggy year round.

The nearest delaer is a ways away. For non waranty work, I recomend going to Custom MINI Shop which is run by regulars. For resturants in fresno, there isn;t much. There is Earnas Elderberry House in Oakhurst which is world renownd. Ducys which is up at Bass Lake is good. So is the Narrow Guage which is inbetween Oakhurst and Yosemite on highway 41.

Oakhurst is about 30-40 miles from Fresno. If you want to live in Fresno itself, I would recommend northeast Fresno, near Woodward Park. It's a nice area. There are a few apartment complexes in area (we live in one) and they're all pretty nice.

Fresno has quite a few restaurants, especially in the northeast area. What kind of cooking do you do?

Champagnia (http://www.campagnia.net/) is pretty good, and there is at least one other fancier restaurant in the same area. We also have most chain restaurants (Chilis, Applebees, Claim Jumper, etc), lots of authentic Mexican restaurants and some really good Japanese food places. There are also quite a few independent grills, steakhouses, and cafes.

Welcome (soon) to Fresno. One of our members, MINIchef(also on NAM), is lead chef at a new restaurant in Visalia which is approx 40 miles from Fresno(smaller city, but nicer in my opinion). He may have some insight on employment opportunities in the area.
Cheers,
Michele

If you click on the MidCal MINI's forum page here on NAM, and go down to the CrawDaddy's thread, you will find him.

They have to cage the ones that need to be protected from the ones running around loose.
