That is not good for your transmission. I downshift into corners so i'm in the right powerband to exit with max torque. Using the engine to slow your car down only stresses parts and will end up costing you much more than brakes when your engine or transmission finaly go.

I don't do it as bad as you make it sound. I use both.

I know. I've ridden with you before. But alot of people are really bad about it. Just put your car in neutran and coast into stops. The cost of pad wear will be much better than an engine rebuild, a new transmission, or even a clutch...

Well Breaks are always cheaper than a clutch so there you go.
