Blake, what time does the mail arrive? They do have mail delivery in Ann Arbor? It probably comes by way of the Artic via dog sled. Ken

No answer from Blake. He never misses a chance to get back at us (me). Do you think he might really be sick? Hope not. Maybe he is studying for an English class. Oh, I forgot he said he never studies just reads. Ken

He might acually be in class today. I know he has one at 10am and 4pm, just not sure what days. Also if he is feeling better, he could be anywhere.

He's at the dealership getting his left half-shaft (driveshaft) replaced.

The saga continues.... They put the old shaft back on since it didn't fix the problem and it broke as he left the dealership. They are now "fixing" it.

So now they will fix it, but may not be the problem ?

Or was the dealership just trying not to fix it in the 1st place

According to them it wasn't broke. So now it is definitely broke and they will have to fix it. Whether or not it fixes the original problem is no longer the main issue. Right now, he can't drive the car.

Back. What a ****ing nightmare. They put the orighnal back on, and aparently the tec forgot to connect something and bam i's without power. I was sitting in the middle of the damn road. needles to say, thhey attached the halfshaft (the right way) and I drove home. INTO TRAFFIC! And just as soon as I got onto the freeway that would normaly mean I was 45 minutes away fomr ann arbor in good traffic, i get a call. The guy is waiting at my house with my wheels. I told him to wait for an hour and I would be there as quickly as possible. As son as I got past the traffic, i took off. I was doing 110 for a good while. Thn I hit more traffic, etc. Anyways, I made it to ann arbor in 45 minutes (even with traffic :D) and bought the wheels. Ken, your wheels are in the back of my jeep. I will ship them tomorrow. They look mean.

Blake, does "they look mean" refer to your new wheels or the ones' your sending me? In any case I take it the check arrived. A real bummer any time you (and the rest of us) let the dealer touch our minis'. I dread having to go to the dealer about my disfunctional motor mount. At least you seem to be rid of the cold. Ken

oh, Ken. Can I send the wheels to Steve's shop, or would you rather I sent them to your home?

Shipping would be cheeper to the shop plus you can put anti sieze on the centering rings there.

What ever is easiest and cheapest for you as long as its ok with Brad and Steve. The wheels look hot on your mini but do they make it go any faster? Ken

40 series? It helps, but if they are heavier then you might be slower. But, as I remember, Ken has s-heavies so he should improve greatly.
