In other, happier news, I forgot to tell you more about my exhaust. I painted the heat shield that goes below the battery box flat black. The finished look is incredible.

Nada. I'm done with my first week of school. I have a car show on Sunday.

Oh. I also have a smal exhaust leak at the first connection joint in the exhaust. I have already jb welded it, but the leak is back. Any tips on how best to fix this problem?

The leak is at a place where the pipe fits inside another one. I;m going to be in the show. I have one in my jeep. Last i heard from them was on sunday...

 

Sounds like you might need it welded. Things are to quiet without Brad and Steve. On the bright side I have hotel reservations for AMVIV-4. Don't want to miss the fun this time. Ken

 

I'm afraid youre probably right... I will talk with chad at Detroit tuned and Peter at m7 tomorrow and get their input.

You will enjoy AMVIV. I think i might save up and fly out this year.. Either that, or i will get a couple special mods just in time for the dragon... Not sure

 

OK NOW I KNOW WHERE YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. IT IS AT THE END OF THE RESONATOR PIPE, ABOUT UNDER THE BACK SEAT AND HELD TOGETHER WITH A WIDE BAND CLAMP. ON MINE THERE IS A SLPIT IN ONE SIDE OF THE PIPE TO ALLOW EXPANSION AND ALLOW THE OTHER PIPE SO SLIP INSIDE. I SUGGEST YOU TRY AND PUSH THE PIPE FURTHER INSIDE THE OTHER, BECAUSE IF NOT IN FAR ENOUGH THERE WILL BE A SMALL GAP BETWEEN THE PIPE AND SLOT ALLOWWING IT TO LEAK. THEN RE TIGHTEN THE CLAMP.

There are 2 such joints... Mine is on one further foreward on the car. I have already pushed it as far foreward as i can. I will just have to see what peter thinks...

Ya... Trust me on that...

 

The courtyard rooms were not bad inside but the hallways looked like the 70s. I would take a tower room if I attend this next year. I will not drive if I go next year. I will try to fly out there because I am not cool with driving 10 hours from Vacaville. It was worth going though, I had fun out there.
