Pics of the Cinci Fun Run

Yes, yes, I know it wasn't a "real rally", but we had a blast on this 80-something mile course through SW Ohio... we crossed two covered bridges, stole a matress tag from Goodwill (don't ask), got really sunbaked and generally had fun driving down twisty roads, all the while passing and following other, grinning Mini peeps.

Here you go!

The scenic drive was nice. I guess we were not expecting people to take it so seriously! The people who lived in Cinci definately had a advantage in the scavenger hunt items. Especially with the Mattress tag thing. I also am not sure I buy the whole Turtle thing either.:impatient

By the way where was the free food and drinks? My wife (Kimini03) also saw on the Scenic Road Rally website we were supposed to get a free mug and we didn't get that either.

Does anyone know what the prizes from Cinci Mini were? In a way I really don't want to know but the suspense is killing me.

All in all I think we were a little disapointed with the event and probably won't be doing another one. I would rather get together with a bunch of people and do a fun drive down south. I think Crashton all ready has some roads mapped out.

Yeah, it WAS a bit of a letdown that there were so many "perfect" scores and so few prizes, but we went for the drive not the reward, if you know what I mean. That said, I'd be all for any run with the Mini people on this forum. I don't know if I would ever have found those bridges on my own, but I know there are web sites.

As for food and a free mug, the dealership had some free snacks, soda and water, which we took advantage of. I can check with them about the mug- I know they had a rack of them - maybe we were just supposed to take one?

We're planning on taking a drive down through the Hocking Hills next week - we're on vacation and want to see some of the roads others have recommended down there. If anyone is off next week or wants to play hookey, drop me a message and we can perhaps hook up. I'm not sure what day the wife planned to go, or I'd just list it here.

PS- The turtle guy had a digital pic of him with it, but the people running it said that "thinking outside the box" - i.e. drawing a picture on a peice of paper and then taking a snap of you "rescuing" it would have been acceptible, as per the ladies on the desk. So, next time, we'll be prepared!

Aaugh! I missed this!

I was out at that dealership two months ago looking at the MINI's they had before I found my baby.
